Brexton Busch, 11-year-old son of late NASCAR star Kyle Busch, walked away uninjured from a multi-car wreck during a Summer Shootout Young Lions feature at Charlotte Motor Speedway on July 21, 2026.

The crash occurred on the two-month anniversary of Kyle Busch's death on May 21, 2026, from sepsis after severe pneumonia.

Race officials stopped the event and safety crews freed Brexton from his car; all drivers were checked and cleared.

Just days earlier, on July 17, Brexton won his first race since his father's death, driving the No. 18 at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the restricted micro sprint class.

Samantha Busch confirmed her son's well-being via Instagram Stories, noting he planned to race on dirt the following night despite her suggestion to rest.
