'Whoever kills Trump ...': Iran-backed Iraqi militia puts $10 million bounty on US president
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), an Iran-backed militia umbrella, has offered a $10 million reward for killing U.S. President Donald Trump.
The reward is retaliation for the 2020 U.S. drone strike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
The group claims the money was collected through donations from its members and supporters.
The announcement followed Trump's public remarks about the 2020 strike during a White House meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi.
The IRI called on individuals, groups, and organizations to carry out or facilitate Trump's assassination.
