UK developer threatens to call manager after Indian techie repeatedly works past office hours

A senior developer from the UK threatened to call the manager of an Indian techie (@Om_Codes_) if he continued replying to PR comments after 7 PM India time, after warnings went unheeded.

The techie would immediately respond to PR comments at 9 or 10 PM India time despite time difference, leading to the senior developer's ultimatum to stop reviewing PRs for a week if he didn't log off.

The techie then deliberately waited until the next day to reply, acknowledging he still works late sometimes but realized the colleague cared more about his work-life balance than he did.

Social media reactions included a Romanian colleague telling someone to shut his laptop on a Friday, a UK manager sending an employee home early to enjoy the day, and a criticism of India's long-hours culture.
