Security tightened at Medanta after protest inside hospital

Security was heightened at Medanta Medicity Hospital in Sector-38, Gurugram, after two people including Samajwadi Party leader Kishan Dixit allegedly entered and briefly protested inside.

Dixit demanded the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, a key demand of student protesters at Jantar Mantar, while his associate held a placard praying for activist Sonam Wangchuk's health.

Police denied permission to TMC MP Sagarika Ghose, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and at least 24 other parliamentarians to meet Wangchuk, though Ghose and MPs Vivek Tankha and John Brittas were allowed per hospital protocols.

Wangchuk, on hunger strike over the NEET question paper leak, was shifted to Medanta late on the day of the incident.
