Karnataka's toll revenue from national highways rose from Rs 2,351.3 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 4,779.4 crore in 2025-26, a growth of over 103%.
The number of operational toll plazas in Karnataka increased from 46 in 2021-22 to 68 in 2025-26.
Toll collections in Karnataka grew annually: Rs 3,517 crore in 2022-23, Rs 4,086 crore in 2023-24, Rs 4,320 crore in 2024-25, and Rs 4,779 crore in 2025-26.
The steepest annual increase was recorded in 2022-23, with revenue surging nearly 50% year-on-year.
Union minister Nitin Gadkari tabled the toll data in Parliament, attributing the rise to expanding highway infrastructure, growing traffic volumes, new toll plazas, and periodic toll charge increases.
