Beed: Ashti Police Destroy Illicit Liquor Worth ₹7.84 Lakh

Ashti Police destroyed illicit liquor worth ₹7,83,978 linked to 243 cases under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act.

The disposal drive was supervised by Ashti Police Inspector Sharad Bhutekar, following directions from Beed SP Navneet Kanwat, Additional SP Sameer Shaikh, and SDPO Vishwajeet Khule.

Of 243 cases, 235 with seized property over ₹1,000 were destroyed after court orders; 8 cases under ₹1,000 were disposed of with SDPO approval.

The destruction process was completed on July 20 with approvals from the Superintendent of State Excise, Beed, and in presence of police, excise officials, and independent witnesses.
