BJP slams Telangana govt over 'family register', alleges protection of illegal vote banks

Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao alleged the state's electronic Family Register is designed to protect illegal vote banks during SIR scrutiny.

Rao asserted the BJP will not allow any illegal Rohingya, Bangladeshi, or Pakistani to remain on the state's electoral rolls.

Rao accused the Congress, BRS, and MIM of sheltering illegal vote banks, calling the Family Register Certificates illegal.

The Telangana government introduced the Family Register to deliver citizen services and provide a uniform, authenticated family record.

The BJP leader said the party is prepared to fight the issue on the streets and in courts.
