NEET SS counselling 2025: MCC allows Round 1 seat resignation without security deposit loss; read official notice

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) allows NEET SS Round 1 candidates to resign seats without losing security deposit, from July 31 to August 4, 2026.

Resignation must be processed online through the MCC portal by college authorities; offline resignations are invalid.

Candidates must visit their allotted colleges within the timeline to resign and collect original documents.

The relaxation is a one-time measure under exceptional circumstances and not a precedent for future rounds.

The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) welcomed the decision, urging smooth completion of counseling.
