PM Modi: I forgive those who abused me & my mom, our job to guide them

PM Narendra Modi said he will forgive young protesters accused of abusing him and his late mother, calling them 'misguided children'.

In a video message, Modi said punishing these youth and making them run around courts will not change circumstances, and they should be guided instead of harassed.

His comments came amid criminal cases lodged against some young protesters for abusing him during a recent student protest at Jantar Mantar.

Modi said mistakes happen at a young age and this is an opportunity to correct them, urging society to accept his decision.

This indicates that cases against these youngsters will likely be withdrawn.
