Delhi govt to distribute over 1.5 million flags under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ drive

Delhi government will distribute over 1.5 million national flags under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' drive ahead of Independence Day.

The government will procure around 200,000 flags from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of urban poor women, creating livelihood opportunities.

Flags produced by SHGs must comply with the Flag Code of India, 2002, and the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the initiative to boost public participation in the nationwide campaign.
