Muthanga cop murder: After 23 years, all accused acquitted

A court acquitted all accused in the murder of police constable KV Vinod in 2003 during the Adivasi agitation in Muthanga, Kerala.

The court ruled that Asokan (deceased) acted alone in hacking Vinod, and conspiracy against other accused was not proven.

The court convicted four, including tribal leader M Geethanandan, for attempt to murder constable Abdul Salam and range officer PK Sasidharan.
