Cyber fraud: No regular bail for ‘mule account’ holder, rules Chandigarh court

in5points
Chandigarh additional sessions judge Harinder Sidhu denied regular bail to Bheem Saroj, whose IndusInd Bank account was used as a 'mule account' to receive cyber fraud proceeds.
The account received ₹50,000, ₹4.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh from fake investment schemes, part-time job scams, and digital arrest frauds.
Saroj claimed parity with co-accused Salman Ansari, who got bail for facilitating account opening, but the court ruled he could not because his account directly received and withdrew fraud proceeds.
