Beedi leaves worth Rs 1 crore were seized in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

A 26-year-old man was detained for allegedly smuggling 79 sacks of beedi leaves to Sri Lanka by boat from Senthoor Nagar coastal area.

Police intercepted a vehicle based on a tip-off.
