  1. BMC floated tenders for a ₹108.23-crore, 780-metre flyover in Mulund East to ease congestion on the Neelam Nagar–Prataprao Gujar Marg stretch leading to the Eastern Express Highway.

  2. The two-lane flyover will connect Neelam Nagar directly to the elevated Ghatkopar-Thane Freeway, enabling seamless merging for traffic heading southbound towards Mumbai.

  3. The project addresses chronic bottlenecks at Neelam Nagar, Navghar, and Prataprao Gujar Marg, where a single access road causes severe peak-hour congestion.

  4. The flyover is expected to be completed in two years and will also benefit motorists from Mulund West via the east-west bridge and those approaching via LBS Marg.

  5. The connector will be one-way, exclusively for traffic heading towards the city, reducing travel time and easing congestion.
