No bail for alleged kingpin in Chhota Shakeel-linked kidnapping case

A special MCOCA court denied bail to Sarvar Maqsud Khan, an alleged key member of a crime syndicate linked to Chhota Shakeel.

Judge Satyanarayan R. Navander held that the twin conditions for bail under MCOCA were not satisfied.

Prosecution alleged Khan accepted ₹50 lakh from Sajid Electricwala to manufacture MD but failed to supply, leading to abduction and assault.

Evidence included a video on Khan's phone showing victims tied up and assaulted, and a co-accused's confession.

The court rejected the defence's claim of a commercial dispute, citing prima facie evidence of abduction and assault.
