TVK & Congress not on same page on Cauvery

TVK and Congress are at odds over the Mekedatu dam row in Tamil Nadu, with each accusing the other of not taking a firm stance against Karnataka's proposed project on the Cauvery river.

Electricity minister R Nirmalkumar accused DMK of echoing Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar and working against CM C Joseph Vijay.

TN Congress president B Manickam Tagore countered that Shivakumar would naturally defend his state, while he would stand for Tamil Nadu 'without any party barriers'.
