Maharashtra Govt Transfers Palghar Land To MSRDC To Expedite Virar-Alibaug Multi-Modal Corridor Project

Maharashtra government transferred 0.2870 hectares of government land in Vasai taluka, Palghar district to MSRDC for the Virar-Alibaug Multi-Modal Corridor project.
The land at Poman village (Survey/Group Nos. 211/1 and 211/2/1) was transferred under Occupancy Class-II tenure at Rs 1 per square metre as an urgent public project.
The transfer was approved on the initiative of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule following directions from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to expedite the project.
The land must be used exclusively for the corridor project; if discontinued, it will be returned to the government without compensation.
The corridor aims to improve connectivity between Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Konkan, easing traffic and boosting industrial and infrastructure development.
