Indian-origin biologist Satchin Panda resigns from California's Salk Institute amid sexual misconduct charge

Indian-origin biologist Satchin Panda resigns from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.

His resignation follows a workplace sexual misconduct complaint filed by a female research assistant in his lab.

Panda will leave the institute on August 13, ending a 22-year tenure.

The institute had placed Panda on leave while investigating the complaint.
