India's brain power will make it an AI powerhouse, says Singapore's ex-FM; warns Europe on energy

Former Singapore foreign minister George Yeo expressed confidence that India will become a major AI power due to its large talent pool and renewable energy investment.

Yeo contrasted India's approach with Europe's energy challenges, warning that affordable and reliable power is decisive for AI leadership.

He spoke at the New Enlightenment Conference 2026 at Adam Smith’s Panmure House.
