Government science scholarships available for students

INSPIRE-SHE scholarship uncertainty has left science students seeking alternatives.

INSPIRE-SHE previously awarded ₹80,000 annually to about 12,000 students aged 17–22 in basic and natural sciences.

The last INSPIRE-SHE registration was in 2024, with no notification since.

IISER-Merit cum Means Scholarship covers SC/ST/PwD, OBC (non-creamy layer), and EWS students.

Clinical Research Training Programme (CRTP) offers 12 fellowships of ₹50 lakh each for 3–4 years to medical graduates.
