TikTok has agreed to settle three teen lawsuits alleging addictive design and mental health harm; terms are confidential and pending final agreements.
The settling plaintiffs are S.J. (15, Illinois), P.M.Y. (15, New Jersey), and K.D.B. (18, Mississippi), who reported self-harm, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
The three cases were bellwether trials among about 3,300 consolidated in California state court before Judge Carolyn Kuhl.
Claims against Meta Platforms, Google's YouTube, and Snap Inc's Snapchat continue, with a trial scheduled in October.
Earlier verdicts included $4.2 million against Meta and $1.8 million against Google in a related case.
