Nearly a dozen contracted and targeted India players will report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for fitness assessments and rehabilitation ahead of the Sri Lanka Tests.
Hardik Pandya, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana, and Akash Deep are already at the CoE; Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to join.
Targeted players Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan, and Abhishek Porel have completed evaluations; more players will be assessed before the Duleep Trophy.
The team management aims to avoid fitness breakdowns ahead of the two-Test series in Sri Lanka and the 2027 World Cup.
