K-pop star Ju Haknyeon, former The Boyz member, wins court battle as agency's $5.4 million lawsuit is dismissed

Ju Haknyeon, former member of The Boyz, won a court battle after a Seoul court dismissed a 8 billion won ($5.4 million) damages lawsuit filed by his former agency One Hundred Label.
The legal battle began in June 2025 when Haknyeon was removed from The Boyz due to rumors he met Japanese former adult film star Asuka Kirara; false prostitution allegations were later made by a reporter.
The Seoul Central District Court ruled on July 16, 2026, that the agency failed to prove adequate reasons to terminate Haknyeon's contract, as the meeting was within personal affairs and police did not prosecute the prostitution claims.
The court stated that false accusers were charged with defamation, and CEO Cha Ga Won's evidence was insufficient to justify contract termination.
