Modi praise revives Shibani Kashyap's Dama Dam video

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Shibani A Kashyap's performance of Dama Dam Mast Qalandar at an event in Auckland.

The video originally went viral after Shibani performed with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon during 2024 Independence Day celebrations.

After PM Modi's mention, the video gained millions of new views and is being called Dama Dam 2.0.

Shibani has received special requests to perform the song at her upcoming live gigs, including a USA show for Independence Day 2026.
