NTA terminates 47 officials, begins specialist-led rebuild

NTA terminated 47 officials following the NEET-UG paper leak that forced a retest of nearly 20 lakh candidates on June 21.

The agency is rebuilding with specialist leadership in cybersecurity, forensic investigation, test-centre operations, and assessment research.

Four General Managers will be appointed on three-year contracts for assessment and psychometrics, test-centre operations, information security, and vigilance and forensics.

Recruitment for 16 Young Professionals is through UPSC’s PRATIBHA Setu portal, overseen by the K Radhakrishnan-led monitoring committee.

Terminated officials may face legal and criminal action based on internal inquiries and inputs from investigating agencies.
