Actress converts from Hinduism to Christianity to Islam

Rakhi Sawant was born Neeru Bheda in a Marathi Hindu family on November 25, 1978, in Mumbai.

Around 2009, Rakhi and her mother converted from Hinduism to Christianity, a decision she rarely discussed publicly.

In June 2022, before marrying Adil Khan Durrani, she converted to Islam and adopted the name Fatima.

Rakhi filed an FIR against Adil on February 7, 2023, accusing him of domestic violence, cheating, and financial misconduct.

As of 2026, Rakhi has not publicly clarified her current religious identity after her legal dispute with Adil was settled in late 2025.
