Meet Will Grand, the LSU graduate who turned food waste into 10,000 meals

Will Grand founded Giving Greek, a student-run organization at LSU, after noticing food waste in campus dining halls.

Giving Greek has donated over 10,000 meals to St. Vincent de Paul homeless shelter in Baton Rouge.

US Senator Bill Cassidy recognized Grand in his July 2026 Local Spotlight for his community service.

The organization also conducts Christmas toy drives and distributes blankets during cold weather.
