Social security: Want to register on e-Shram portal? Here's how unorganised workers can sign-up, top FAQs answered

Over 31.78 crore unorganised workers are registered on e-Shram portal as of July 2026, according to Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje.

e-Shram is a national database for gig, migrant, and platform workers providing a Universal Account Number (UAN) on a self-declaration basis.

The portal integrates 15 social security and welfare schemes, including PMSVANidhi, PMSBY, PMJJBY, AB-PMJAY, PM-KISAN, and ONORC.

e-Shram also links to National Career Service for jobs, Skill India Digital Hub for skill development, and PM-SYM for pension.

Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY has the highest enrollment among e-Shram registrants, with over 15.10 crore enrolments.
