Faridabad: Woman held for killing lover over delay marriage plan

A 32-year-old woman was arrested in Faridabad for allegedly killing her 36-year-old paramour by slitting his throat while he slept.

The victim, a painter from Rampur Shahpur village in Aligarh, was found days later after neighbors reported a foul smell from the locked house.

The murder occurred on July 25 in Anangpur; the woman allegedly locked the house and fled, and the body was discovered on Thursday.

The woman allegedly sought revenge because the victim, who was already married, repeatedly delayed marriage plans.

The suspect was produced in court and remanded to police custody for two days; an FIR was registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
