'I AM BORED': Pilot Doodles Playful Message In Sky

A flying instructor in his 20s traced the message “I’M BORED” in the sky over the border between England and Wales during a test flight.

The message was recorded by flight-tracking platform Flightradar24 via the aircraft’s route, not by visible smoke or skywriting.

The instructor flew a Ravenair-operated Piper Tomahawk aircraft after a cylinder replacement to confirm safe operation.

Ravenair operations manager Wayne Barrett said the flight completed its test successfully and the pilot would not face disciplinary action.

The 20-minute maneuver was performed at approximately 1,100 feet and below 100 knots.
