Gaza officials say Israeli strikes kill seven day after deal
Gaza authorities reported seven people killed in Israeli strikes Saturday, with two killed in a strike on a rooftop southwest of Gaza City and two near a pharmacy northwest of Gaza City.
The Israeli military said it struck Hamas weapons depots, including one next to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and dismantled five weapons storage facilities.
The strikes came a day after Hamas agreed to the latest phase of a US-backed deal, which includes provisions for handing over weapons and gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
The Palestinian health ministry condemned the strikes, saying the attack destroyed two of four medical supply warehouses and damaged two others, causing loss of vital medical supplies.
