Minister Manohar Lal dismantles Central Public Works Department’s ‘Delhi Club’

Union minister Manohar Lal exposed that some Central Public Works Department (CPWD) officials avoided transfers for 20–30 years by cultivating influential contacts in Lutyens' Delhi.

Lal said a transparent transfer policy issued by his ministry faced pressure from influential people seeking to protect those long-serving employees.
