Allahabad HC restrains vehicles, construction activity in Chandra Shekhar Azad Park

The Allahabad High Court restrained entry and parking of vehicles in Chandra Shekhar Azad Park (also known as Company Bagh) in Prayagraj.

The court also barred all construction activities, temporary or permanent, in the park without court permission.

The order was issued on a petition by Bhupendra Pandey against construction of a new museum gate in the park.

The court directed the authority to maintain the jogger's track inside the park and keep it hindrance-free.

The court impleaded the Central Museum, Prayagraj, Union of India, and Amar Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad Smriti Udyan as respondents and scheduled next hearing for August 31.
