Rajnath to pay tribute to Kargil heroes at two-day anniversary event at Dras

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend a two-day anniversary event at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras starting July 25, 2026.

The event marks the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating the culmination of Operation Vijay in the 1999 conflict.

On July 26, a wreath-laying ceremony (Shradhanjali Samaroh) will be held at the Kargil War Memorial, led by Rajnath Singh and Army Chief Gen Dhiraj Seth.

Rajnath Singh will inaugurate a Virtual Walkthrough Portal at the Kargil War Memorial to provide an immersive digital experience of the war's history.
