Faridabad man arrested for using fake guarantor to secure bail in drug case

A 37-year-old Faridabad man was arrested for using a fake guarantor to secure bail in a 2020 drug smuggling case.

He paid an individual to impersonate Faridabad resident Naresh Kumar and submit his identity and motorcycle registration documents without permission.

The accused stopped appearing for court hearings after bail and went into hiding.

Naresh Kumar discovered the impersonation after receiving a court notice in April 2026.

A sessions court ordered an investigation on April 21, leading to an FIR for cheating, forgery, and impersonation.
