Forum unveils nationwide campaign on femininity

The National Federation of Girls Islamic Organisation (NFGIO) launched a month-long nationwide campaign called 'Embracing Femininity' from Aug 1 to 31.

The campaign draws on the Islamic concept of fitrah, advocating a 'third space' between cultural confinement and relentless productivity with emotional detachment.

GIO units will organize conferences, campus meets, panel discussions, art and poetry competitions, a social media campaign, a seven-day Femininity Journal initiative, women's support circles, and felicitation programmes.

The campaign will culminate in an international online conference on Aug 16.
