Delhi High Court expressed displeasure over 'inhabitable condition' of flats built under JNNURM despite spending ₹2,000 crore.
DUSIB and DSIIDC were tasked with constructing 52,344 EWS flats under JNNURM, which began in 2009-10.
The court said ₹2,000 crore was wasted and demanded to know who was responsible for the uninhabitable houses.
The court noted that repairs would require another ₹2,000 crore, as per its observation.
The verdict was reserved in an appeal by residents of three slum clusters near the PM's residence in Race Course, who were ordered to vacate and shift to Savda Ghera.
