University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point urged people to take shelter and issued a tornado warning at 8:04 PM CDT.

A law enforcement-confirmed tornado was on the ground in southwestern Marathon County, moving toward Stratford and Mosinee, with schools and mobile home parks in the direct path.

The National Weather Service noted a tornado warning for Mosinee until 8:15 PM CDT and shared a map of impacted areas.
