Delhi Fire Services to conduct surprise inspections of fire stations

The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) announced surprise inspections of all fire stations across the city.

Senior officers will check operations, discipline, emergency response, equipment readiness, and staff attendance.

A 60-second turnout (TOT) drill will be conducted to measure mobilization time after an emergency call.

The inspections follow multiple fire incidents in 2026 that raised concerns over response time and preparedness.

Officers on emergency duty or weekly off are required to participate, and findings will be submitted in preliminary and detailed reports.
