Model villages to come up in every block to promote natural farming: Shimla DC

Shimla deputy commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced model villages will be established in every block to promote natural farming.

Two model villages will be set up in the Mashobra-Tutu block under the National Mission on Natural Farming.

The initiative aims to benefit 7,000 farmers across 50 clusters covering 2,500 hectares in the 2025-26 financial year.

An allocation of approximately ₹4.21 crore has been made for the scheme, with 18 new clusters planned to bring total clusters to 68.

Natural farming training will be provided at 12 child care centres using designated areas or grow bags.
