Man dies of electrocution while operating water pump in south Delhi

year-old carpenter Arman Khan died from electrocution while fixing water pump wiring in south Delhi’s Tigri area on Saturday evening.

He was rushed to Batra Hospital by relatives but was declared dead on arrival.

An FIR has not been registered; inquest proceedings are underway to determine if the tanker belonged to Delhi Jal Board or a private agency.

Preliminary investigation suggests faulty wiring on the water pump caused the electrocution, not the tanker.

Residents protested, demanding piped water connections, citing chronic water shortage forces reliance on tankers and makeshift pumps.
