Feed pigeons only between 7 am and 9 pm, but not on your balconies: Karnataka’s health dept rule

Karnataka health department issued a circular regulating pigeon feeding in public spaces.

Feeding is allowed only between 7 am and 9 pm at designated zones managed by authorized NGOs.

Feeding on roads, footpaths, balconies, terraces, or rooftops is prohibited if it causes nuisance or health risk.

Use of cooked food, bread, or food waste is banned; only approved grains are permitted.

Designated feeding areas are prohibited near airports per DGCA wildlife hazard guidelines.
