Bihar to recruit 1 lakh school teachers by 2030, BPSC TRE 4 notification expected soon

Bihar plans to recruit 1 lakh school teachers between 2026 and 2030, with about 20,000 hired annually.

The recruitment will occur under BPSC TRE 4 (Teacher Recruitment Examination 4) for primary, middle, secondary, and higher secondary schools.

State Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari stated that a requisition for TRE 4 will be sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) in the last week of July 2026.

Teacher postings will be based on subject-wise availability and student-teacher ratio to address shortages.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhury has decided to provide land to government schools lacking permanent buildings within six months.
