Yuriy R. Fedkiw Assumes Charge As New US Consul General In Mumbai

Yuriy R. Fedkiw assumed office as US Consul General in Mumbai on July 7, 2026.

Fedkiw is a career diplomat with postings in Ukraine, Poland, Iraq, Slovenia, Japan, Switzerland, Pakistan, and China.

In 2021, he helped establish the Afghanistan Affairs Unit in Qatar and engaged with the Taliban on human rights and security.

He aims to advance American economic interests, strengthen security partnerships, and deepen bilateral cooperation in western India.
