Vellore: Deity adorned with currency notes worth Rs 30 lakh for Aadi

In Vellore's Sri Vanchiyamman Temple, the presiding deity was adorned with currency notes worth nearly Rs 30 lakh.

The deity was decorated in Mahalakshmi attire as part of a tradition.

The special adornment took place on the auspicious third Friday of the Tamil month of Aadi.
