Nancy Guthrie case: Authorities release ransom notes

Authorities released two ransom notes in the Nancy Guthrie case, hoping someone will recognize the writing style.

The first note, sent Feb. 2, demanded $4 million in cryptocurrency and threatened to kill Guthrie if not paid.

The second note, sent Feb. 6, said Guthrie died shortly after her kidnapping and was buried in nature.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department believes distinctive linguistic characteristics may be identifiable.

No suspects have been arrested; two men detained and released are suing the sheriff's department.
