Book Karnataka’s trek slot 30 days in advance, but full refund scrapped

Karnataka Forest Department extended advance booking window for trekking slots from 15 days to 30 days.

Cancellations now receive only 50% refund, instead of full refund for cancellations at least 7 days in advance.

Trekkers must carry original hard copy of identity documents used for online booking.

New rules aim to curb monopoly of private trekking firms, homestays, and resorts in booking slots.

All bookings and payments must be made on www.aranyavihaara.karnataka.gov.in.
