in5points
Construction of a new ₹20-crore bridge over the Ghaggar river in Panchkula has begun.
The bridge will run parallel to the existing one, connecting Sector 3/21 road with Sector 23/25 road.
It will enable one-way traffic on each bridge to reduce congestion and improve travel time.
A dedicated lane for emergency vehicles and 1.5-metre footpaths on both sides are included.
The project is awarded to a Bhiwani-based company and must be completed by March 22, 2028.
