What every parent should know about CBSE's three-language policy

in5points
CBSE made three languages (R1, R2, R3) compulsory for Classes VI to X from July 1, 2026.
At least two of the three languages must be native Indian languages (Bhartiya Bhashas).
No Class X board exam for the third language (R3); it will be internally examined and recorded in the CBSE certificate.
Current Class X batch is not impacted; Classes VII, VIII, IX won't have board exam in third language.
Phased implementation: Class VI batch 2026-27 will be first to have R3 board exam in 2031.
