Carer who fled to Spain after stealing £300k from pensioner to be extradited to UK

Pamela Gwinnett, 63, stole nearly £300,000 from Joan Green, 89, a retired accountant she cared for in Chorley, UK.

Gwinnett fled to Tenerife while on bail and was convicted in her absence of theft and fraud by abuse of position.

She is set to be extradited to the UK to serve a six-year prison sentence after being arrested in Spain.

Gwinnett manipulated Green, isolated her from family, secured power of attorney, and used stolen money for luxury items including a £22,500 car and Botox treatments.
